isn't it quite ironic?

I find great irony in the fans and proponents of Lady Gaga. While many people try to expound on how her songs seem to exude powerful concepts of individuality and independence, and at the same time point to her get-ups that seem to convey the same message, they just do things that show a shallower interpretation of her music.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not out to judge her songs or her showmanship. I don't really listen deeply into her songs, and even those I listen to from time to time, I listen with just the catchy tune in mind.

The Little Monsters, or so her fans are called, are the ones I take up issue with. How am I to take them seriously, what with all their 'deep' interpretations of her songs, when all they do is seem to want to dress up and be like her? The latest attempts to do so were in a bid to win tickets to her show here.

All I'm saying is, if people just like her because she's flashy and grabs attention with utterly quirky pieces, then just say so. Don't give some fluffy nonsense about there being a deeper message to it all, when clearly the message, if at all, doesn't seem to be the least bit grasped.
