Sometimes after I've read the newspapers in the morning, I'll check out what's new on geekologie if I'm really bored. ST does seem to share a few similar stories to the website, which itself culls interesting reads from around the internet. This time, it's reversed.

It's another picture from Dubai, the UAE, where infinity pools are just as commonplace as skyscrapers up above and private marinas down below.
But I took a double take when I scrolled down the next picture, for there it was, undeniably true; in geekologie, and in front of my eyes. Clearly I hadn't paid much attention to the skyscrapers in the background.
I've thought of paying the 20 bucks entrance fee to get up there and take in the sights, but I've heard that the view is slightly disappointing because the better parts are closed off to guests. Might be only for the premium rooms though, because it sure seems like it from what they've got to offer.

Makes me proud to be a Singaporean. Could tell especially when I felt the guy who commented "looks more like a nuclear reactor than a hotel" was being a bit of a turd.
