I've got the longest span of admin time since I booked in; the sergeants seem to be having some engagement today, and yet I feel it's pretty wasted.
The Army doesn't take a lot out of you in terms of mental endurance. That's not to say that it does not expend your mental capacities, though.
Get down. Go back out.
Change into this. Change out of that.
Fifteen minutes to eat. Three to fall in.
Knock it down. Recover.
We rush to wait and wait to rush, every small pocket of time we have is treasured. But before you can stop to think about something, you're off to the next venue, off to the next activity. Your train of thought is broken, and your head goes into a blank state of simply trying to meet the new mad timing to meet. It's for this reason that I decided to keep a diary. The Army gave us a diary, meant to collect our thoughts on Army life itself, but I have no intention to use it for that purpose.
