I'll let the pictures do the talking

I recently took a trip down to Neo Tiew, the abandoned housing estate in the West, and Kranji War memorial. Neo Tiew was pretty interesting, so too with the story behind it. I'd say what it was, but then I'm feeling rather lazy right now. Kranji War Memorial is perhaps the quietest and most well-kept grounds I've encountered in Singapore, perfect for enjoying a sunrise or sunset in tranquility.

Neo Tiew:

Was tempted to bring this home, but the cardboard seemed beyond repair.

Can't make out the words?
Be the scope that magnifies the enemy
Be the finger that pulls the trigger
Be the firing pin that strikes the cap
Be the spark that ignites the fire

Platoon 7
5 SIR
14 (?) Mono

Kranji War Memorial:

While most headstones were marked with names, ranks and company/platoon origins, there were others that were simply engraved with; A soldier who died in the 1939-1945 War.
