I've come to realize more and more in recent times that it both isn't wise and nice to judge people, but sometimes I really can't help it. Case in point; if you know this person 'Snowman' (whose real persona I've forgotten) on msn, you'd see that his his personal message is reads; "SBS Transit, >40 million in profits, no extend (sic) subsidy."
You probably know me well if you're reading this blog, but I don't like people who make such narrow minded and immature comments. It sure doesn't sound like a joke, at least. It's myopic to think that a publicly listed company would have The Greater Good in mind when it comes to such things, and it's even more troubling to realise that it might actually be a veiled sign of arrogance, much as I myself think I may be reading too much into it. It shows on some level that the person obviously finds himself important enough, if not his demographic, to warrant other actual important people taking notice of his plight.
Lastly, one can note how fruitless it is in complaining about something that has always been. Not that one should never challenge the norm, certainly not, but not when it comes to things like concessions, where certain things are logically and reasonably established as being conducted in such a way.
I just realised that I'm wasting my time commenting about something I can't change, either. Not that I want to, anyway. It'll be a waste of time.
