I just watched finish 5 centimeters per second, the anime that Jhin Chee recommended me. Glad I heard about it some how or rather; it was another beautiful anime in my opinion.
Of course, the main theme was about the love between two persons that endured through the ages, and that was quite touching. But I found myself sidetracked quite often by the awe-inspiring anime visuals and artwork. I don't think the artwork was the best I've ever seen, but that matters not, because it was amazing in its own right. I loved the scene of the space observer take-off the best, it was seriously stunning work on an unrivaled scale for those few moments.
Sometimes, I just wish I could some day be able to do such work. I try, but I'm surely far from such entrancing works. I like art, but I know that not only is Singapore not exactly the best place to nurture talent, I also need far, far more than what I have now to make it. I've got other interests too, but none as enduring, captivating and yearning as drawing.
