you want a piece'eh me boy?

Does it show that I've been playing a fair bit of Starcraft? lol... I got inspired to do this when I was on deviantart. Found a piece on a terran marine, so I decided to try my hand at some of it. Some disproportionate parts, most evidently (imho) how the legs should look more bulky.
the models I've constructed have taught me one thing, that making something shiny and new doesn't click it as well as something that looks aged and hardened. So I included mud marks on the legs and feet, scratches and dents on the armor and other things like the 'troop's' scrawlings. Kill tabs included too! =D
I originally penciled it on paper, then traced it out on my tablet. Still, I just didn't achieve the sort of inking standard and look that I love to see on other people's works. This one is a scan, then two filters of photoshop effects to give it the look. Nothing added! On the other hand, I can't help but feel that the tablet was a waste of money (yes, it was my own money.) paying 600 for a tablet that is slave to the computer simply is still leagues away from a tablet that you can actually see the computer screen on. (which makes it enormously easier and more natural to draw)
Still, those types of tablets cost like 1.5k. It wasn't a simple decision to wonder if I should buy the 600 bucks one or not. One day when I get the money, and if my passion still holds, I'll get one.
