While I was mulling over how careless I was, I forgot that I had a pair of back-up spectacles; my Army specs. I call them that because its precisely what they are. Flat black, full framed and looking like the stereotypical bald and unaware army recruit.

I won't wear it out, but that's not to say they look real bad.

Anyway, I will be getting a new frame and lens on monday, but the lens this time isn't transition. I had three options:

1) Same lens, same frame at 65 bucks.
2) Same lens, full frame (more sturdy) 95 bucks
3) New lens, new frame 215 bucks

At first you'd think I'm crazy, but I went for 3. 1 was unacceptable since it's the same frame, which would have another possiblity of me breaking it. I could be much more careful, but the frame was irking me to begin with. The grip isn't very good, and when I play sports like tennis or run, my perspiration made it easy to slip off.

Then for 2, my lenses had this groove for the nylon string that supports half-framed glasses. If I wanted 2, The frames available for picking were small.. And I mean really small, such that the frame itself does limit your vision, since you can easily peek over or by the lens and have things just as blurry. This is because they had to cut off the groove and as a result have 2mm cut from each side.

I went for 3, but I felt it was not going to bode well with my mom if I wanted transitions again for my mistake. Normal lens this time, and i've got to be careful too, since the lens isn't as scratch resistant as the previous lens.

On second thoughts, this isn't the best post material, but what the heck.
