There usually is an upward trend of blogging rates for me in the post exam fever. Not so this time though, due to the lack of things to talk about. When I leave for Dubai in four days time, I shall still be blogging (at least I reckon) because the hotel there has a lounge with free internet access.
Anyway, due to the lack of substantial updates, I shall post some small ones here.
1) There was supposed to be tennis today, but it got postponed. Last thursday I had training, then Friday was a friendly game with a PAE friend, Saturday was a session with the coach (whom we haven't seen in two months) and Sunday was my weekly run at ECP. That four days straight =D
2) I've been selected for MJC Talent Management. I don't know what the criteria is to actually get in, so when I got the congratulatory sms, I was initially a bit confused. I have a meeting for it tomorrow, so I'm going to find out what its for and how I got in.
3) I'm still missing my BF2 CD, partly because I can't be bothered to find it, since I'm not so hot for it now. But it still cost me 65 bucks, so i'll be damned if I really can't find it. Meanwhile, I also realised that a lot of the games I am looking forward to; GTA:4 and NSF:Undercover in particular, come out when I am away. This is great news, since I've been wanting to curb my boredom for a long time, and by going overseas, I don't need to remind myself of the wait. When I come back, the games will already be on the shelves! (hopefully, my computer can run on their minimum specs.)
4) I will be missing out on the house-warming that includes both sides of my parents' families (due to the Dubai trip) ... A rare occasion that they meet. I don't mind and mind missing it at the same time. While there will be good food and a rare event to soak in, there will also be a lack of really close company that I can enjoy, with whom many are still, and will remain, socially distant relatives.
5) Two of my classmates are going to Poly, as they either cannot of would rather not retain. They are both DSA students. It was a gamble indeed. Knowing when to sieze an opportunity to move up the ladder when you haven't technically reached the criteria, and hedging your bets to stay as a medium-sized fish in a smaller pond. I sometimes wonder how life may have been if I had stayed in Bedok South Secondary, and not gotten the offer to move to Damai. Things could be radically different for me now.
