The Teacher's day celebrations were not too bad, and the bands that played were much, much better than the ones in Damai. The moaning, zombie-like singing was nowhere to be found. But there was this one song played by a band, and while it included school, a teacher and a student, it was far from appropriate for the occasion. Think along the lines of going to school simply for a hot teacher. But a bit further down that road. It's quite funny the first time you actually stare incredulously at the lyrics while listening to the MJC faculty soak it in, but seriously, what was the band thinking?

I was pretty bored after tuition today... I made a few obvious mistakes, and on the other hand, I couldn't understand something Sophie was telling me about differentiation graphing. It's unusual for me to not grasp it after she explains something a few times. I gave her a lolipop for teacher's day, bought at the Cheers store opposite the main road.

Lastly, I decided to touch up the class photo for a possible eventual new class tee design. Maybe a sort of Andy Warhol thing, with four picture color schemes side by side in a boxy-design? hmm... The picture editing took me about an hour... but it was mostly the damn contour cropping of my classmates. Glad the girls were standing up, since their hair is much simpler to crop. For the boys, usually I have to do some faux spiky hair to make it look normal. Otherwise the solid clump will look ridiculous. (on guys with spiky hair, or for that matter anything but smooth hair.) I did it in the spirit of the small class party we had earlier in school.
