I've been staving off the computer rather successfully, since it actually has the ability to make wandering minds create lame hamster comics. But really. Until the repairman comes this Friday, there is nothing for me to do online.

I just finished Pet Semetary, and I must say, it seemed more of a thriller than a horror book. I didn't like its ending though, far too abrupt for me. I'm one of those people who prefer endings that at least attempt to have an epilogue that sum things up. The story was reasonably riveting, though, and I wonder if it is sufficient to stave me off even a working computer.

I got back my Physics, History and CLB paper so far, 35/100, 44/75 and 45/75 respectively. I think I got the highest for history, but I'm not sure. CLB was a load of tosh. I just typed why I felt so, but I think I'd better remove it before I get some irrational backlash. Physics grade was somewhere around what I had expected, now all that waits are my three most prospective papers, GP, Econs and Math. I really, really hope the math tuition payed off, from my last test that got me the loswest mark in class.

I read this semester's (or is it term?) issue of Musings at Meridian, our newsletter, and was disappointed with the quality of the content. Too often, they have girl-inclined articles (this month's was on how to make a crystal bracelet... and I ought to state that while last year's publication committee had just one guy, this year, it's all girls.) and the sourced pictures (almost probably found over google) have such low quality, you can clearly see the pixelation. Well, the saying goes not to complain if one isn't willing to take the lead, so I intend to submit some cover art for the next issue using photoshop once more.

I was thinking over in the bus where to source material from, should I not be too lazy as to recycle my work I did not too long ago, and thought that searching devart or google for "Asian girl/boy uniform" may raise one too many stares for what must be a certainly colourful search.

In any case, tennis began yesterday, with a surprising 3.2km run around the field as warm up practice. I recalled immediately too, why I had this disinclination to the tennis team once more. On the way back, I sat on the train with a few mates, and this is how my abridged and shortened (but nonetheless with accurate essence) conversation with the captain went.

Me: recieved any results yet?
him: I got back my physics MCQ, Got 13 out of 20
Me: wow, that's quite good,
**he gives me an incredulous stare
Me: at least, for my standard la.
Him: did you take physics for O Level?
me: combined science, yeah.
Him: Ah, ask me how much I got for physics!
Me: uhhh... how much did you get for physics in the O levels?
Him: A (with pronounced clarity) 1
Him: Ask me how much I got for E Math and A Math!
** I do as i'm told, since the last thing I want to do is to irk my captain even more.
Him: A1, A1
Me: So your aggregate is...?
Him: SIX (with pronounced clarity, once more. He reinforces this by gesturing the number with his hand.)

Can't tell why I feel he's a pain in the ass? Oh well, I did indicate in a previous post that we need to acquaint ourselves with these people to become more understanding individuals ourselves, so i'll endure his cock-sure, fucked up attitude. If I ever become like this, shoot me on sight. Hope, though, that you don't see me soon with that pistol for my long-due payment... right?

** I just came back from blog surfing. Man, I'd really, really love to rant on other people's blogs some times, to tell them how damn narrow minded they are. Like how reciepts are a form of prevention and protection against irrational (they occur more often that you think) customers, not for forgetful service staff.
