more updating.

I was going to do a small post on how my dad deviates like a race car with one burst tire, when he talks to any one of us, but then cooled down a little (there wasn't much burning up anyway, it was simply a lecture session.) and decided it would be in bad taste, since I abhor idiotic ungrateful cretins who denounce their parents. Not the ones who have really broken families, but the ones whose families are not all that bad, but they pick on every single piece of shit without cleaning up their own dung. Like Kester, Joel's and my own old primary school mate.

Anyway, the Acer guy came in yesterday to repair the com, after successful persuasion, he agreed to replace the graphics card, not the ram or to do a recovery (which I swear, he wouldn't understand my adversity to it, given i've done it twice in close sucession.) The thing is, he was willing to replace it with a newer one, unfortuately some guy he called told him not to do that, and to replace it with the same one.

It seems there might not have been one in his van, because he gave me a slightly newer one instead, a SAPPHIRE RADEON X300SE instead of my old Gigabyte Radeon X300. dxdiag says it has capacity of 256mb, but it seems to conflict with searches online that say the new one is still 128, too. My computer now works fine, but I only have two games, BF2 and a near complete expansion set of The Sims 2.

I just got an invitation to College Day, something that I found out to be the college equivalent of a sppech day. It's for the Tan Teck Meng Scholarship that I sucessfully applied for, with Arjunan. I feel like I am cheating though, since this was a result of my O level results, and has little to do with MJC, or the grades I have been getting while studying there, which have been anything short of average. Nevertheless, I was thinking what my edge would be over other applicants to the Dubai-Abu Dhabi GIP, and I realised that in this short span of six months here, I have gottern two acheivements; Participation in Pre U sem, and this scholarship. My JCT results though, leave so, so much to be desired.
