I must say, as I sit here now and enjoy the breeze from the incoming rain, at my new desk and in my new surroundings, I embrace my new room and new home with welcome arms. These pictures here look stunning to me, but living in them is ever much more breathtaking. I'll begin with events of yesterday.
I woke up at 7:35 the day before yesterday, without the help of my alarm, and promptly had breakfast. Once done, I packed up my computer and swept most of the remaining bits and bobs into the last boxes. All too soon, the movers had come and loaded the boxes, (very quickly, I must say.) loading at least 6 boxes on one small and flat board with attached wheels. Three of us stayed behind in the house from then until about 5, with which the word 'boredom' wouldn't suffice, since the movers were over at the new house, and so were the rest.
The moment we got to the new house, we swung into full gear and started unloading everything, which I must say, was much faster than I expected. All my boxes were emptied in 2 hours. Sleeping last night was difficult, as I always take a long time to sleep in an unfamiliar environment. Add in the queen bed and a hard pillow.
For today, the main problem was setting up this internet connection. It's done now, so I'll let the pictures do the talking, and hopefully I'll see you next week.

Work in progress. Note how my software takes up the entire display portion here... Too many CD's.

The view from my bed.

Rain is coming. Really beautiful, no?

My display cabinet, another work in progress.
My choices of wall paint and furniture veneer were all by me, and they look so stunningly matching now, even though I couldn't visualize it fully. I simply thought it looked nice with the amount of sunlight in my room, but who would ever think they coexist so well?
I have yet to take a dip in the pool...
