Forget about it,

I’ll bet my face is red, and you can hear my heart pounding,

If you haven’t already guessed, the words of the title come from this song “When did you fall” By Chris Rice, and it’s possibly the longest song I’ve been hooked on for some time. If you have three and a half minutes to spare, try listening to it.

Yesterday’s tennis bonding session was really quite nice, while it wasn’t great, I can say it kind of achieved its objectives to some extent. All the boys came, some girls didn’t, some alumni were there and so was Ms. Suey. There were two enlisted guys there, regaling their army tales, which was really enjoyable to hear.

The food wastage was quite large, I was tasked to get nuggets, but apparently so did two other girls, and the nuggets were just… overwhelming -.-, coupled with the fact that nuggets aren’t really nice to eat, to begin with. There was too much Bee Hoon, too much Potato Salad, Konnyaku and… you get the point. Kind of makes you wonder how much food the restaurants waste every night, all around the world.

We first had outdoor games at East Coast Park, and then went to the captain’s house for dinner. He lives at The Summit, just two stops down from my place, a marvel of an estate, with the constant undulating landscape that proves both to be a construction nightmare as well as a landscape dream; we had dinner at a rooftop BBQ pit, and yet it wasn’t quite defining as a rooftop for its level.

On a different topic altogether, I used to think that I was quite perceptive as to whether I was being liked by someone, the only problem I had was whether I was brave enough to make the first move, which someone can attest to… =D

Simply speaking, though, I’m not too sure of myself now. I don’t go thinking that someone likes me just like that, since that’s being a bit presumptuous of my ego, but what if the signs I usually identify with are pretty clear, but the intentions are slightly vague? The Compass (read; CME) lesson I had recently highlighted the importance of initiative, coincidentally in the context of relationships too, and if anything, I have gathered valuable experience already.
