Hi. These few days I’ve been pretty busy, on Monday I had tennis practice concurrently with council meeting, Tuesday i had pre-u sem meeting, both of which ended around 8, letting me go home at 9. Thank god today's tennis ended earlier. The rain stopped the friendly match with AJC quite early into the session, and it was a waste traveling all the way to Yio Chu Kang. I didn't mind it though, I was placed in 5th doubles, and I obviously would not have had a chance to play, given rain or no rain. I start to wonder whether asking Ms Suey for a downgrade was really wise.
In any case, I know that whatever she does, it won't matter so long as I get to prove to her I am ready for a real match. Which i desperately need to do fast since the tournaments are coming very soon, and participation can get me some experience under my belt.
The council nominee thing of the day was putting up of our posters, and I must say, I really think creativity may be sorely lacking in some people. There were at least four nominees who did ‘wanted’ posters of themselves. Need I elaborate on the point?
I needed to put up my posters today, but I really didn’t have the time. I’ll put it up tomorrow on my one less period of Mother tongue class. Got to buy blue tack.
There is this Economics field trip coming up in August, and it’s to Cambridge, London, from the 4th to the 12th. Yes, we miss National Day. Anyway, as the name suggest, we get to do stuff in the Cambridge campus and sight see some places like the London Stock Exchange. The setback comes with a price tag of S$5335. Yah. I asked mom and dad, and the response was “…Ok.” to the price tag.
I heard of Joel’s TPJC equivalent to Vietnam, costing just S$250 after subsidy, and I must say, getting to see the Cu Chi tunnels (what the heck does it have to do with econs, though?) is really something I’ve really wanted to experience.
