my leap-year day update
Saturday, March 1, 2008
I skipped a post previously saved before this. This is because it has become obsolete, chronology-wise. This is why a constant and reliable source of internet is necessary. In fact, many in JC should know that with all the e-learning crap nowadays, not having an internet is suicide. I sometimes go online and see my math teacher emailed me on an answer to some problem, or that I have to go and do something online that I only know about days later. The thing is, I won’t foot the bill for such a stupid arrangement if it is for schoolwork.
My brother won’t say, oh it’s for school, no need to pay this time. He wouldn’t relent on the 80 cents. And I can’t ask my parents to pay either, since it is pretty unfair that they have no idea whether I play or actually do homework. The trust isn’t all that there, although my game-playing has seriously lessened.
Oh man. The day ended at 10:25, and although we aren’t allowed to leave before 12:05, I left anyway, together with some other classmates. Introductory lectures last until the end of next week. So with this time, I hopped onto the train to City Hall to get to Bras Basah. My objective was to collect my new spectacles. And holy cow, even now as I type this 5 hours later, my eye orientation still isn’t complete. I get a headache, one that isn’t painful, but renders my brain a complete mess, so much so that tuition today went at an embarrassing speed. I couldn’t remember simple steps to differentiation.
At first when I wore it, things looked more concave, even when I went home, I opened the drawer and half thought the drawer was loose, since it seemed to hang angled from its axis. I swing my head side to side while staring at a fixed point and I can’t seem to focus on the point. If I look at a specific point, it seems to get better, but man, I don’t know what on earth is going on.
I usually took like a minute to get accustomed to my new specs in the past, but this one seems to be taking much longer than usual.
Anyway, I read the newspapers today, something I don’t do often, and I found this retarded article. The heading went like this;
Terrorists could soon turn to… KILLER ROBOTS
I am not kidding. This is what it said, and it is accurate down to the very capital letters. I think the people at SPH must really be tearing their hair over some decline in readership. What a ridiculous tabloid worthy article. Such a shame being in the bloody national paper.
Also, have you seen photography by this guy? Chow Chee Yong was featured today in the news for his brilliant and highly interesting artwork of blending ordinary pictures to form odd scenes. Go google him and I assure you will be intrigued.
If this post is a bit jumbled, that is because I am still suffering from after-effects of the headache.
