the 14th and the movies

This will very likely be my last post before i go away, so there are a few things i would like to mention.
For Valentine's Day this year in MJC, they have this game for us to play, called Romeo And Juliet. It is very similar to what Gabriel described during his orientation. Basically, we will get a form of notice of this person from another class tomorrow. This person is most likely a person of the opposite sex. (Note, likely. According to my hypothesis that girls are smarter, i formulate that there are more girls than boys in a JC such as this. Thus, the chances are relatively high. I hope.)
From tomorrow all the way to Valentines Day, we will be sending letters of correspondence to each other without knowing who the other party is. Of course, it is strongly encouraged to keep mum, since it would spoil all the fun of the game if you reveal yourself. Also, to tide over the festive period of no schooling, we are encouraged to exchange numbers. All i can say is that if all goes well, the person i get can't talk to me until next Monday. Which is pretty much the bulk of the time. So, shame. Chances are, however, that i wouldn't be staying, so i guess the game if pretty futile for a person like me.
On another note, i am into the 135th page of "The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Nighttime". All my brothers say it doesn't live up to the hype it generated, but i think it is pretty swell. It is a real literature read, where it's more than just another book, the prose is written in a special way, Just like "Flowers For Algernon", a book that Literature students in my class have to read. The book is told in the eyes of a mentally challenged janitor, who can't form sentences coherently, and misses out punctuations, paragraphs and the like.
As the character goes for brain surgery and some therapy, his progress report that forms the prose, becomes better and better, and by the end of the book, he can write proper sentences and form flawless speech. Intriguing and interesting.
Also, today for CSE we watched "Farewell my Concubine". Go IMDB it, but it was pretty much of an eye-opener that you see in JC video screenings. Here goes one line of the script that was particularly coarse.
the little boy says: "it was so cold [outside], the piss froze on the tip of my dick."
=D
The thing about CSE is that there has been no real lesson so far. There was the Blog project, then there was the endless storytelling about the ancient past of China all the way to Deng XiaoPing, so we really haven't had a real lesson, and that is bad, since i need to know whether i should continue to have it as an elective. The last thing i want to do is spend two years doing something dreary.
And then there was another movie for GP this time, from "15" by Royston Tan, we watched "Dangerous Minds" this time, a movie i previously watched in CME last year. So it was pretty boring. And then For CLB, we watched an animation of Sun Wu Kong. That's a lot of movies.
And Ya, i know Zhengwen is going to say something along the lines of, treasure these movie periods. HA! BEATEN!
=D
Next week marks what is most probably going to be the last week in MJC. It has been a swell run, and i'll give a more nostalgic post next time. But for now, all i can say is, i hope the company in VJC can best this that i have enjoyed for a month now, to all the friends in MJC who might be reading this, i'll say that the wish is a tall order.
