Hi. This post will mainly be about my results and of the 24th. I intended to put the OG and CG pictures in here too but what the heck... i don't know if Timothy sent me the pictures already. Nevertheless, the fact remains that i do not have it, and so i let Yichen down once again. ( if you know what i'm talking about...) But no matter =D

Still, i would like to caution fellow O level readers that after the line of asterisks, i will be putting down all that i got and achieved for 2007 O Levels. I don't want anyone to give nonsense, but i also think this is my blog, so to some extent, i should post it if i want to. By nature i think i'm a humble person (maybe you'd like to disagree?), so for now i would like to change tact ( a bit!!) and use this blog with my own view in mind.

We settled down in MJC school hall at about 8 a.m., and the first in the programme was a small pep speech by Ms Esther Lai. Then came some briefing about how to go about doing the JAE, which was followed by a short presentation on... what else but wishing us well... This was followed by a great slide show (with the music Chariots of Fire playing in the background) of The great school that is MJC, and finally, another slide show on Orientation 1.

Hao Yan and Rebecca, both Damai alumni, and MJC councillors, got up on stage and told us of their stories of getting their results. Then when they said they were both from Damai, all of us Damaians were cheering. Damn patriotic eh? All of a sudden, we were made to cheer the MJ medley, and while they capitialized on us already standing up, got us to do both school mass dances. It was really nice, the concept of a possibly bittersweet farewell, but i didn't join in... =/ After that we were all told that we could make ourselves scarce, so all of us started mingling... there were many small pockets of CGs or same-school people who got together and started cheering, and i joined in where i could since i really felt a lot of patriotism... heheh.

I think i got to school the earliest of the entire Damai cohort... At 10a.m. i was in the school canteen, which was where i saw Ms Sharifah, Ms Shawaleza and i think Mdm Yati. I asked to join them, and throughout the entire conversation, they were like smiling damn obviously. I was a bit freaked, what with the Hao Yan and Rebecca thing on my mind. Ms Sharifah soon asked me if i wanted to see my new tuition teacher who is a part-time teacher at Damai, who apparently is quite chio... so i said yes (heheh). Unfortunately she wasn't at the desk. Outside the staff room, Mr Chin came to me, asked why i was so early, and then congratulated me and shook my hand. He proceeded to walk away, which made me feel super wierd, but happy =D.

The results were kicked off by the new principal, who looks much more interested than Mr. Loh.

You are eligible for the Edusave Scholarships for Integrated Programme Schools. The scholarship is tenable at any independent IP school/JC. =DD

I apparently got first in the level, while Baoxian got second, which is kind if like a trade in places from prelims...! Six A's for six subjects!!=DDD

On another note, a lot of people said i didn't look happy enough. Ivan went so far as to say i was 'pop siao already..." Since i was like fiddling with my bag and looking at no one else but the bag. (shocked to oblivion 0.o) But really, i didn't feel like bursting out with a "YATTA!!!", i'm not that type of person, so i took my slip from the principal (with two hands) without fuss.

All along when i went for the O levels, i looked up at the list of people in the school hall boards, from principals to Student councillor president, but most importantly, i always eyed the top student post. I felt it would be the greatest way to graduate having your damn name on the board, feeling super proud of a hard-earned achievement and having it forever immortalized in solid words. And that is one of two happiest feelings i had today. Or rather, yesterday.

The other one, is the fact that my dad promised many, many months ago that if Joel or i do well in top placings in school for O levels, we would be handsomely rewarded. That's my second happiest thought right now. But enough of that. Want to know something freaky?

4106.
Thats the number tag i got for the MJC road race this saturday.

41 is, or rather, was my index number in 3E3 and 4E3.

06 is the score i achieved.

41+06=47. My associated number. =D

06-4=2, my score if i decide to stay in MJC.

Neat right?!

You know, i must say, all my friends did very well, none of us were sad with what we achieved, and i'm glad we didn't need to scout for the highest building in the vicinity. We all did well enough by our standards, and i'm damn well proud on everybody's behalf just for that. The movie that was watched in happy moods, Cloverfield, was quite good. I don't know what i'm rambling about also. I don't seem to be writing this post very well. Understand, ok? =D

Whoever reads this, if i don't know your results yet, it is in sincerest regards that i hope you did well to, well enough to join me in MJC!! (You know, i really want to put many exclamation marks simply because of the mood i'm in, but i think it looks childish. So i'll hold back.)

YATTA!!!
