I'm sure all of you are sick of being wished a Merry Christmas, so i shall dispense with the formalities.
Yesterday i played (slightly reluctantly) until about 1:45am. Woke up at 9:20am or so. While playing, i recieved two messages from people i knew, giving my the usual Christmas spam message joy. I'm sure being more introverted, you guys would have probably recieved more than two. But this is in no way a show of jealousy. The fact id that i recieved them from my two AV member juniors. One, i barely talk to, said more or less this; "This year has been a long one. No matter what problems we went through, what arguments we had, i want to say here, I AM SORRY. Because i care. Merry Christmas to you!"
Mentioning that i barely know the girl, i have obviously never gotten into an argument with her, much less talked much to her. So i think you would agree with me that the message is obviously an inordinately spammed message... Yet it seems too far gone, after all, do you spam such messages to the primary school friend you hardly speak to now, or even when you guys were in the same school? Maybe she sent it to everyone of her contacts. Now thats what i call hardcore spamming.
The other message came from one i talked to some times during the AV sessions, but one whom i also didn't know much of. The message was ok, and i replied this to her: "Thanks, and Merry Christmas back at you... Have another fun year in Damai!" Ahh... What of those times, when in Sec 1 going on sec 2, or sec three going on sec 4, where the familiar was all we had, and we met each other at the parade square, every 2nd of January, shaking hands and all, saying, "welcome back to Damai, another dreary year!"
The good old days will only return once more Late this coming January, and on that day, I will gladly embrace the familiarity of all the faces i knew for at least two years. On that day, I do sincerely wish that all whom i know (i couldn't be bothered for the rest) don't leave with tears, but with joy, so that we can all go do something fun together. Like some LAN party. heheh.
As i write this on this festive morning, i suddenly feel more willing to embrace the prospect of heading off to MJC this thursday alone. Good, i suppose, the feeling will make it more comfortable to get to know more people. We will be split into groups, and i hope by the end of the day, i have someone or some people to recognise come 2nd January, other than Leslie, Gavin and Baoxian. (Aiyah i only have a vague idea of who Aiting is.)
So I know i said i wouldn't do so, but this is an apt way to wrap things up here.
Melly Clismas to orr of euu, may you get more bountiful presents than Yichen. heheh.
