No hard feelings

In reference to my bost entitled , i wish to add that the shooting it brings to light a problem. Shooting the pest is simple because i as yet don't have to guts to pick up the cockroach with my bare hands. It does have similarities to real-time war, i kid you not.

The United States (...but not limited to) has weapons like the heavily armed AC-130H Spectre that will circle around battlefields and reign pouring lead and hell from above, unseen to the enemy in what usually is a support role for ground forces. What often happens shows the gunners surveying a potential target, requesting clearance and killing the heck out of the unknowing people. While it does put US troops out of harm's way, as is always the aim, it begs to question the morals of the gunners.

Go on http://www.youtube.com/ and see for yourself how these people take the killing lightly. It is highly akin to a computer game, where killing has no forseeable circumstance to morality, and one does not actually view the aftermath and destruction brought down upon an enemy. They laugh and whoop when they destroy a target. I must however, note that even ground forces of any and every nationality also has some such cases, and even worse, the mangled bodies seem to attract even more delight to the activity that is killing. But such is human nature, if on the context past choosing to kill, to enjoy the fireworks and rather not see the carnage, as with most cases of normal human beings.

I shot the cockroach and didn't do anything any more demanding of a physical closeness to it except in the cleaning up, because i am disgusted and, to an extent, fear cockroaches and insects such as big beetles. My mom does sometimes ask joel and i to get rid of them, for she fears them to heck. Given the choice, i would shoot them and not pick up the mess. But sometimes she wants joel or me to trap or throw it out. not kill it. It creates mess. Mess that one would rather not view or have to take care of.
