fortune 500

Just came back from the edusave scholarship awards. True to what many of my friends who got it before say, the cash was 500 big ones. Nice figure, i would say. I didn't recognise anyone there, and there were many seats that had been empty. It would be pleasing to note that i wazs more or less surrounded by girls, but there is actually one interesting fact. Near the start as it already begun to get boring, i decided to count the number of awardees, girls versus boys.
Somewhere along the lines i must have left out one or two persons, but the final average tally was 65-32, in the girls' favour. This may be a small demographic, to be realistic, but in any case it does highlight an insightful topic. After all, many times if you notice, girls seem to do better than boys. If not in quality then quantity, as there are always more top scoring females than males. For example, Justin might be the top in 4E1, but behind him lie many girls, and not boys. Do you have a clue as to why this is?
On another note, i wish to add a follow-up to the previous post. This concerns the adoptive walking gait i mentioned earlier. My note is one of self-reflection, and to sum it in one sentence, i think i am a copier. Inspectively, i am usually unable to grasp things quickly if i place myself in a pioneer test. When i follow tried and tested examples, i tend to do better. Case in point; a long time ago when i used to draw cars, i always drew the boxy types that came at the turn of the century, the stereotypical Volvos and Fords that came off the assembly line angular and sharp at the edges. Then i kept wondering, why do my drawings not resemble those i see on the roads? The Toyota Corollas and Nissan Camry's?
One day i payed special attention and realised the industry has moved forward to organic shapes, and that i was applying the old technique for so long. Another example is in the things i design, be it Sims 2 houses or National Education Ambassador badges, i take a note of how existing designs look. And i adapt. Which appears to be working. So when i attempt to copy Yichen's gait, i take it to be that that is what i want- a confident posture (not always hunching like the usual person i am) and something to adapt to.
