So today there was an article in the newspapers regarding a poll on teenagers. i didnt get polled. in any case, the poll touched on topics such as health awareness, which included smoking and junk food, as and always, everybody's taboo topic of sex. now the poll stated that four in one hundred teens have had sex. i have no idea about this. but the thing id like to touch on is the ridiculous nature of the report. having had nothing better to say, one teen responded with this to say about how to reduce sex among teens; "we should have an abstinence campaign conducted, aimed at the teenagers." (something or other) i must imagine that the teen was a complete idiot and utterly questionable individual, and it comes to mind as to whether his head was clutched with a headcrab throughout the twenty-first century. apart from stating the very obvious, one can see that the governments efforts must have been pretty much bloody lacklustre in generating any sort of commotion at all. and here is where, for no reason, i shall like to quote Private George Luz.
"remember, boys! flies spread diseases! so keep yours closed!"
on a seperate note, i would like to inform readers that yesterday i did a bit of blog surfing, taking cue from joel. i happened to chance upon many teenage angsty blogs, with whom their posts were riddled with eff words and the like. to set myself apart from this group of little munchkins, i have decided from now on to do my utmost in refraining from using these vulgarities. for instance, the eff word shall be best repaced with "kerfuffle" and the other derogatory words replaced with less harmful naughty words. for those of you who know me, youll know this is one heckuva deal given my impressive track record.
on yet another note, i shall like to state my feelings on recent events, that much relate to the game of Company of Heroes. so for those of you whom dont play the game, i beg your forgiveness. The kerfuffle that is joel has seemed to be a trademarked allied offensive. the axis initially seem to be on a roll here, but therein lies the hidden armada of shermans and whatnot that soon put a stop to the axis offensive. the blitzkrieg turns into a drawn out defensive campaign and soon the axis is on the retreat. this not only applies to the two losses to one victory over joel in the game, but also to real life events. for you see, joel appeared very much to be is the threshes of a conflict of friendships early in the secondary school years. he now however, seems to have geared his war machine for an all out offensive. i give this in reference to the way he seems to be much more socially busy than me, and it makes it all the more sobering that i have left the confines that are Damai Secondary. While he can go out (and tell me not to come along) with his pals, i pretty much am stuck with few options. i just hope that one day my offensive will come along and i can handle myself better. i must say, i have always thought of myself as an extroverted introvert. that is to say, to those whom i know, i am comfortable with. to those i am not particularly fond of, i dont actively seek company. ah well, it is too late now, im sure, so ill make the best of it. meanwhile, should i indeed be going to JC, i have little time to enjoy the most of the short holidays.
