portal and friends...

by the time this post gets up i suspect mark and ben will already be at the airport check-in counter. so i was too late... really. i got orange box yesterday and was playing the initial stages of portal. god. when one thinks about it, the amount of game testers must have been enormous for such a game that invovles so many techniques and solutions, trial and error day after day of testing.
on now to bigger issues. i realized some time ago that in november itself i watched four movies. bee movie, (the worst of the four), stardust, the kingdom and finally hitman. i have officially chalked up a new personal record on that but now i have not a single cent to spend on anything to do with pleasure or enjoyment, because ive spent it all. about $270 worth in one month, according to my account book. thats a lot of money for a guy like me. so now i wait for the christmas money to arrive. hopefully the new pc that i have been discussing with my dad will work out by the end of next week, so i can squeeze in some fun in whatever is left of my AY2007 that officially ended half a month ago.
yesterday when we, as usual, parted at Bedok interchange, i realized i only felt genuine loss for the friends and associates of the third degree, the rest did not seem to perturb me any longer. i think that next year, and still in this december, if we meet regularly for badminton it will help the friendships, and i am very glad that this group was borne out of the internet and LAN gaming, so we have plenty excuse to converse with each other, say over a game of COH.
finally, i would like very much to wrap up my commemorative video and have it to each member of the Third Degree before december ends. with a personal page for each member now empty without a short writeup, i have absolutely no clue as to what to fill it with, forgoeing the possibility of removing the pages altogether. im sure my brilliant self will come up with something. i hope,
btw my 10km starts tomorrow at 7:15. it is not something i am looking forward to.
